Christopher M. Turtell, CPA is a Partner in the accounting and audit department at Herbein + Company, Inc. Chris was named partner in 2016, and is the partner in charge of over 30 audit clients including community colleges, school districts, intermediate units, and municipalities. An important aspect for the firm, Chris' responsibility includes assisting in coordinating the firm's annual inspection process, which is a self-evaluation of the firm's procedures and client deliverables. The results of this process allow for continuous improvement of the quality of the firm's product.

Chris is a certified public accountant and a frequent speaker at the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) School District and Local Government Conferences, as well as the Pennsylvania Association of School Business Officials' annual conference. These qualities as well as his commitment to work life balance make him a key member of the Herbein leadership team.

In his free time, you can find Chris coaching his sons' little league baseball teams. He makes sure to volunteer at their school district as a watch dog dad (D.O.G.S.) program, and loves family trips to Disney. He also is a member of the Herbein softball team!
