Tax Extension Update: Status of PA & Neighboring States
Reminder re: IRS due date extension
On March 17, the IRS announced an extension of time - until May 17 - to file 2020 federal individual income tax returns and make any payment due with the 2020 return.

Latest on the status of Pennsylvania and neighboring states
We are monitoring the status of possible similar due date extensions in PA and other states. Below is a table of the current status of PA and neighboring states as of March 22, 2021:

There are efforts by the AICPA and other groups to urge the IRS to also extend the due date for 1st quarter estimated tax payments. As indicated in our previous blog, those 1st quarter 2021 estimated tax payments are currently still due on the original due date of April 15, 2021.
We will continue to monitor the status of any further federal extensions and any possible due date extensions in other states -and will provide updates when appropriate.
