50th Anniversary: 1972-2022
50 years ago, Carl Herbein (1946-2018) founded our firm from his home in Fleetwood, PA.
This visionary leader believed that Herbein would help our team, our clients, and our community succeed with confidence. Indeed, we are dedicated to creating a better future.
Since 1972, we have met the challenges of business and economic disruption by staying focused on what’s ahead. We constantly strive to earn the trust of our clients with exceptional results and innovative solutions.
As we begin our next half century, we will continue to operate the way we began, with a bold, entrepreneurial spirit.
We are holding five events to help celebrate our 50th with our clients, community leaders, and friends. Click here for info on the event closest to you.
50 years in business: Herbein Today. Herbein Tomorrow.
Herbein 50 for 50 Project
For the past five decades, Herbein has invested in our communities – and to celebrate our 50th anniversary, we created the Herbein 50 for 50 Program: a “golden opportunity” to donate $50,000 to 5 community organizations.
Herbein is humbled and inspired by the work every applicant organization does to make our communities stronger, better, and more inclusive. We received an overwhelming response, with more than 90 submissions across our geographic footprint.
Approximately ¾ of the organizations had a prior connection to our firm, and we received numerous submissions from those who did not.
Herbein team members voted for their individual Top 5 choices – a happy challenge for everyone at our firm. While every applicant organization positively impacts countless people within our communities, our team members are passionate about specific causes.
After each team member reviewed the submissions and voted, our team, including Managing Partner Dave Stonesifer, compiled all votes, and worked together to finalize the program’s grants. At the conclusion of firmwide team member voting, we knew limiting our awards to the Top 5 vote getters would not properly show our appreciation for the accomplishments of these organizations. As a result, in addition to the Top 5 grants, we added five additional $1,000 awards, and will make a smaller donation to every other applicant organization.
“In honor of our 50th anniversary, Herbein is thrilled to donate to so many deserving local organizations,” says Stonesifer. “Each organization deserves to be recognized for all their incredible work. At Herbein, we are pleased to support them as they continue to leave a positive impact on the communities that our team members call home.”
Here is a small sample of the feedback we heard from community organization leaders:
“We are so excited and honored to be chosen as worthy of this gift, especially because of the huge number of applications you received.”
“This was a lovely way to celebrate Herbein’s 50th anniversary. Grants like this change lives – no matter the size!”
“We are grateful for any award that helps us move our mission forward and hope to work with Herbein again in the future.”
