50th Anniversary: 1972-2022
50 years ago, Carl Herbein (1946-2018) founded our firm from his home in Fleetwood, PA.
This visionary leader believed that Herbein would help our team, our clients, and our community succeed with confidence. Indeed, we are dedicated to creating a better future.
Since 1972, we have met the challenges of business and economic disruption by staying focused on what’s ahead. We constantly strive to earn the trust of our clients with exceptional results and innovative solutions.
As we begin our next half century, we will continue to operate the way we began, with a bold, entrepreneurial spirit.
50 years in business: Herbein Today. Herbein Tomorrow.
The Herbein 50 for 50 Project is an exciting way our firm will live out our purpose of helping our community succeed with confidence. The Herbein 50 for 50 Project is supported by our culture of volunteerism and our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion – and is augmented by charitable giving in our local markets.
Our goal is to positively impact five organizations during our 50th anniversary in 2022 with one-time grants totaling $50,000 – over and above our typical annual giving.
The following grants will be issued:
- Grant One - $25,000
- Grant Two - $15,000
- Grant Three - $5,000
- Grant Four - $3,500
- Grant Five - $1,500
Herbein will consider grant requests from organizations that are designated as 501-(c)(3) charitable organizations and are in good standing by the IRS. These organizations are organized and operated exclusively for charitable, scientific, testing for public safety, literary, educational, or other specified purposes and that meet certain other requirements to be tax exempt under Internal Revenue Code. Organizations must be in good financial and public standing.
These grants will be donor-restricted so as not to be used for general operations or administrative expenses, but rather to provide an opportunity to fund a wish-list project that would otherwise not be funded.
We are committed to gathering enough information to make an informed decision without putting undue burden on applying organizations. Organizations will be asked to share their most recent 990 and audit/review/compilation of their financial statements.
Your description of the program will include:
- Who will benefit from the project?
- What is the expected impact on our community?
- How will your organization determine whether the program is a success one year from now?
- Why is this project unique?
- Deadline for Submission: August 31, 2022 at noon
- Winning Grants Announced: September 19. 2022
- Grant Payments: September 30, 2022
