May Community Hero - PitCareHerbein is pleased to award the May Herbein Community Hero award to PitCare in the amount of $500.
As accountants, Herbein + Company is well-known for helping our clients achieve success. As your neighbor, we would like to work with you to recognize and reward those who are focused on making our communities better.
PitCare is a community development organization dedicated to bringing hope for better lives and a stronger community in Pitcairn, PA. Through a two year Life Skills program, PitCare works with families to provide skills and financial training to help make home ownership accessible to them.
PitCare also works directly with the youth of Pitcairn through one-on-one mentoring – encouraging young people of Pitcairn to take education seriously and giving them opportunities to help them break out of generational poverty.
One of the summer programs for youth is a basketball camp for grades 3-8 that takes place the first week of July and involves roughly 80 kids. The $500 Herbein Community Heroes award will be used to help fund this program.
