Michael L. Cross

Michael L. Cross is a Senior Consultant at Herbein + Company, Inc., located in the Pottstown office. Mike joined Herbein in January, 2017 when Herbein acquired his firm Michael L. Cross & Company, Ltd., which served the greater Pottstown, PA region since 1982.

Mike brings a vast amount of experience to the Herbein team, and specializes in the small to mid-size business arena. Mike provides assurance, tax, succession planning, , estate planning, consulting, and transaction services to a variety of industries including construction, lumber & building materials, manufacturing and distribution, real estate, retail and service providers.  He takes pride in working closely with his clients throughout all transitions and aspects of their growth.  

He helps to position his clients for growth, cash flow planning and profitability. Specifically, he works hard to not only reduce his clients tax obligations, but makes certain their financial statements represent the maximum financial presentation to obtain premier funding from lending institutions when issues of business capital requirements arise.

Mikes believes his success and experience has been from being proactive with clients, being suggestive, creative and above all listen to their needs and goals. This together with suggesting ideas that an owner may not have previously considered are what he enjoys most when it comes to working with clients.

Internally, Mike is a member of the Herbein + Company, Inc. Growth Committee. The Growth Committee’s vision is to implement innovative programs that fuel the Herbein Growth Imperative and advance the Herbein brand internally and externally.
