David Brighina joined Herbein in 2024.

A senior manager in the firm’s risk management practice, David has more than 12 years’ experience in financial management, regulatory reporting, and cybersecurity, with a proven track record of leadership across multiple organizations.

Prior to joining Herbein, David developed significant expertise across various industries. As a controller for a leading construction company, he built the financial function from the ground up, leading a team and ensuring compliance with GAAP while managing cash flow, budgets, and financial reporting. In the financial services sector, he handled regulatory reporting for a multi-billion-dollar investment portfolio, developing efficient reporting processes and training staff. As CFO and Chief Information Security Officer for a regional bank, he managed financial operations, cybersecurity, and strategic planning. Earlier in his career, he conducted audits, tax preparation, and financial reporting in accounting and auditing roles.

Outside Herbein, he enjoys spending time with family and friends. David also enjoys archery, the outdoors, and mentoring.
