Alexandra (Alex) Deimler joined Herbein in 2020.

Having grown up on a dairy farm, Alex is passionate about the dairy industry. In her role as a Dairy Consultant, Alex provides comprehensive financial and regulatory support to dairy businesses. Her responsibilities include conducting cost benchmarking reports, leading milk shrinkage  evaluation projects, and delivering specialized dairy accounting seminars, such as Dairy 101, for private clients and industry. Alex also assists with regulatory reporting, particularly with agencies like the PMB and USDA. Additionally, she  has experience with dairy cost accounting for both basic and complex products. Another key role Alex has is to prepare exhibits and testimony every year for Pennsylvania’s cost replacement process.

Prior to joining Herbein, Alex served as an Internal Auditor at MicroStrategy, where she conducted risk evaluations, performed operational, financial, and IT compliance audits, and drafted audit reports. Prior to that, she worked at a regional CPA advisory firm, where she oversaw audits, compilations, reviews, and tax engagements. Alex also prepared various tax forms, including 990s, 1065s, 1040s, 1120s, and Schedule Ks, and summarized census data and investment activity for the firm’s pension department.

Outside Herbein, Alex enjoys spending time with her husband, her son and her two dogs, Mo, and Leo. She enjoys being active, travelling and spending time outdoors. Fun fact: her favorite dairy product is cookies and cream ice cream with peanut butter.
