Award-winning CPA advisory firm Herbein + Company, Inc. opened its doors to young visitors April 24 on Take Your Child to Work and Beyond Day, offering them a unique glimpse into the professional lives of their parents and family members, while fostering creativity, curiosity, and career inspiration.
The firm welcomed children ages 8-18 at its Reading, PA headquarters and two other locations, where they participated in age-appropriate activities designed to showcase the diverse career opportunities available at Herbein.
"Take Your Child to Work and Beyond Day is much more than just a fun diversion—it's an investment in the future workforce," said Herbein CEO David W. Stonesifer, CPA. "By helping young people explore various career paths early, we hope to spark passions that may guide their future educational and professional choices.
Throughout the day, participants engaged in interactive workshops, educational sessions hosted by key Herbein leaders, and a Town Hall hosted by Stonesifer, where participants asked questions of the firm’s CEO.
At the headquarters, a lunch featuring leaders sharing their career insights was followed by a LinkedIn & mock interview workshop, before the day concluded.
The day aligned with Herbein’s commitment to family-friendly policies, work-life balance, community engagement, and education.
“Kehlani had a blast, and I was so glad to show her around, allow her to meet new friends and learn about what we do daily. It was an experience I’m sure she won’t forget,” said Lindsay Fessler, whose 2nd grader Kehlani was part of the day.
