Biography

The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. Lao Tzu

Travis began his career with Malin, Landis & Company in 1994 after graduating from The Pennsylvania State University, Behrend Campus.  With Malin, Landis & Company and its successors, Travis was able to develop his expertise in international accounting specifically related to the subsidiaries of foreign owned entities.  Over time this expertise expanded into outbound transactions and to translating foreign financial statements.

Travis has prided himself with the development of several long-term relationships with his predecessor firm.  After having spent the first half of his career assisting clients with both their audit, accounting and tax needs, Travis moved almost exclusively to audit and other accounting services.

Travis believes that the current auditing literature has created an environment in which the auditing relationship is confrontational. Travis believes that an audit should be a collaborative effort between the auditee and the auditor by working together to produce a materially correct financial statement.

Travis has also assisted a wholesale distributor with its closing procedures and coordination with external accountants.  He facilitated the due diligence for the ultimate sale of that Company.  He previously held the CVA (Certified Valuation Analyst) designation and performed several valuations of closely-held businesses.
