Meet Ryan – 2017 Small Business Intern
Hello everyone! My name is Ryan Krall and I am a small business intern here at Herbein + Company, Inc.
I was born and raised in Oley, PA. I graduated from Oley Valley High School in 2014 and I am currently a senior at West Chester University of Pennsylvania. I will be graduating in May of 2018 with the 150 credit requirement for the CPA exam.
I was introduced to Herbein + Company. Inc. at young age because my uncle was an employee here at Herbein. I saw the success he had and how he enjoyed coming to work; that stuck with me until it began time for me to look companies I would potentially want to work for. I attended Herbein + Company’s first Inspire Distinction Summer Program this summer, and that confirmed everything I had heard my uncle say. The people here at Herbein are very welcoming, kind, and instantly they treated us as peers and not just students.
After the Inspire Distinction program I still wanted to learn more about the firm and explore potential career opportunities. I emailed Dave [Stonesifer] and we set up a time to meet and discuss potential internships here at Herbein. A week later I met with Dave and Keith [Hoffman] to discuss a small business internship. This internship was intriguing for a couple reasons: I would be the first ever small business intern, and it gave me a chance to do both tax work, bookkeeping, and some compilation and review work as well.
Outside of work and school I enjoy playing sports, specifically soccer and golf. I am a member of the men’s club soccer team at West Chester, and served as the club’s president for the past two years.
I am thrilled to be a part of the Herbein + Company team this busy season and look forward to the upcoming weeks.
